Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Oh. Em. Gee. Ya'll. The only thing that is better than (white) chocolate covered strawberries in my book, is ascetically pleasing ones. I kept seeing the same picture of these gorgeous strawberries posted on instagram that were full of ombre, sprinkled, gold flaked and sparkle goodness. THANKFULLY someone was nice enough to give some credit to the lady who actually made them so I could make them as well. I mean just look at them:

The version that this lady made, involved soaking strawberries in Le Petite Rosé. (Now for the past three years I have always been pregnant or nursing & I don't even like the taste of alcohol so mine will not have any alcohol involved.) Although this is so not my style, you can find her version here. Knock yo self out!!!

I found my edible glitter, edible gold flakes, and dye all in the cake section at Hobby Lobby. Best store ever and they love Jesus too! The chocolate chips are from publix.

Step One: Wash and dry the berries.

Step Two: Melt chocolate either in the microwave or in a pot on the stove. Stir until the consistency is smooth.

Step Three: Mix in desired amount of red or pink dye. If you are planning on doing a pretty ombre looking tray of berries, you will slowly mix in more dye as you dip berries so they continue to have a darker shade of pink as you keep dipping. ****Note, for decorating I would pull out a little chocolate at the beginning before dye is added, if you plan on doing some contrasting polka dots!

Step Four: Grab berries by the green stem and dip them in the chocolate covering as much as you can without the chocolate getting on the leaves. Lay the berries on parchment paper as you dip them.

Step Five: Decorate them while still wet with sprinkles, edible glitter, edible gold flakes, and whatever your heart desires!!!

Step Five: Put them in the refrigerator to set the chocolate.

Step Six: Take some pretty pictures and then Enjoy!!!
